This beach is close to the Cambridge Beaches Resort & Spa. It is a public beach off the beaten path and faces the horizon where the sun sets. It is a perfect little spot if you want to watch the sunset here and then head over to Somerset Village to get dinner at one of the few casual sit down restaurants in the area. Both the Somerset Country Squire and Salt Rock Grill have outdoor patios for dining.

If you want to have an authentic Bermudian experience, this is the tour for you. Often times you visit a country and never have an opportunity to really experience and interact with the local people, eat the local foods or simply do what the local people do. These tours are designed to introduce you to a day, or part of a day, in the life of a typical Bermudian. You will have the opportunity to spend a day, or part of a day, doing what they do and learning about the island from the perspective of one of our friendly host families. Bermuda Explorer is prepared to further customize any of our experiences set out below by removing specific components on request.

You will be picked up at 8:30 a.m. and driven to meet the host family at their home. You will spend 1 1⁄2 hours with the family having a traditional Bermudian Breakfast. After breakfast you will be taken to the north shore of the island to experience a 1.5 hours authentic Bermudian fishing trip off the rocks. All the required fishing supplies and bait etc will be provided. After you have caught enough fish for lunch (if necessary, the fish may need to be topped up by your host), Cool off with a leisurely swim on the calm north coast. Take photos, relax and be entertained by the stories told by our local fishermen. Spend 30 - 45 minutes learning to clean and fillet your catch, A series of Kodak moments. Then enjoy your catch with a 1 hour Bermudian lunch cooked to your liking with prepared local sides. You will then be dropped off around 3:30p.m.

This beach is close to Port Royal Golf Course. You will be able to catch a #7 or #8 bus out of Dockyard towards Hamilton and will need to ask the friendly bus driver to drop you off here. Find Whale Bay Road across the street from the bus stop and take a 10 minute walk towards the very end of it. You will find Whale Bay Fort at the top of the hill and the beach at the bottom. Since it is away from most shops and attractions, you will find little to no people here.

If and when you travel, you want to eat the local foods and totally immerse yourself in the local culture; this is the perfect authentic experience for you. Meet, learn and cook with one of our friendly host families as you watch a Bermudian sunset. This is the best way to get to know about our unique culture and experience a real authentic Bermudian meal.

You will picked up at 4:30 p.m. and travel to your host family for your dining experience. You will assist your host with the preparation and cooking of the meal. You will spend a relaxing 3 hours in the company of the host family dining on a traditional Bermudian

This beach on the South Shore has stunning surrounding views. It is best to access it from Warwick Long Bay because this way you can hit a few beaches in one go to find the most secluded beach of them all. Walk over towards the small cove in Warwick Long Bay (just keep the ocean to your left), this is Jobson’s cove. And if you keep walking through the trails you will come to Stonehole Bay. If you’re up for an adventure make sure to explore the trails on South Shore and find one of these three beaches.

Do you want to learn how to fish with a line and hook, gut, scale and filet your catch? How about cliff diving just like we do from the famous Admiralty House cliffs? Now you can do just this with a local host family. Experience how we play while catching a fish. Our host families will not only show you all of the above but they will also cook your catch so you can eat it fresh from the water either cooked on the dock or at their home.

You will be picked up at 12:0 0 p.m. You will travel to the host family to begin the experience. A number of local favorite spots have been selected for this experience which provide good and safe cliff diving in close proximity to good fishing. You will learn how to bait the line and catch the big ones. Afterwards learn how to gut the fish, fillet and clean the fish.

Go cliff diving with host Family and enjoy our beautiful blue waters from a different point of entry. You will be dropped off at 5:00 p.m.

While in the summer this beach may not be as secluded, you will find that the park on either side of Warwick Long Bay leads to many secluded beaches. The trails that lead in either direction along Warwick Long Bay provide adventure and seclusion. Bring water, food, and towels, and you can make it a day of fun at the beach. Bermuda Fact: Warwick Long Bay was recently put on the list of World’s 100 Best Beaches in the 29th position. The list was created by CNN and published on June 6th 2013.

If you’re staying in the East End of the island near to St. Georges this is a good secluded beach for you. From May to September there is usually a life guard on duty but just because there is a lifeguard that doesn’t mean it gets crowded. To get here take the #1 or #3 bus and ask the bus driver to allow you to get off at John Smith’s Bay. 

You’ll also find public restrooms and some changing facilities on site. If you like to explore, take a walk away from St. Georges keeping the ocean to your left and you will encounter Spittal Pond Nature Reserve which is huge for Bermuda’s standards. Make sure to bring water and a sense of adventure. This is also a famous spot among bird watchers in Bermuda and has interesting terrain to explore.

This is certainly one of Bermuda’s most popular beaches. It will be crowded on the days cruise ships are on the island but still a great place to visit since it’s such a large beach. A little walk down the beach and you will escape the crowds for the most part. If you do get here by bus (#7 only) you will have to walk down a steep hill for five minutes until you reach the beach.

You can rent chairs and umbrellas from the store off the beach and enjoy food and beverages in the same building. Keep an eye out for the Longtail birds and their nests high up in the rocky cliffs.
